HCHS has been recognized by the TSSAA with the A.F. Bridges Award. This award honors schools across Tennessee’s athletic districts that exemplify sportsmanship, ethics, integrity, and positive contributions to educational athletics. Nine schools statewide received the award. HCHS last received this honor during the 2008–2009 school year.
Thank you to our players, coaches, administrators, and Athletic Director Matthew Smith for exemplifying the qualities this award recognizes. We are proud of HCHS Athletics!
We also appreciate the support of our school board, and community.

As of 12:24 p.m. Internet has been restored at both schools.
Parris South Elementary School and Hardin County Middle School currently are without internet and phones due the internet fiber being cut.
Hardin County Schools news alert:
At approximately 4:00 p.m. today, a Durham Services bus operating a route for Hardin County Schools was damaged by an electrical fire. No students were aboard. The driver moved the bus out of the road and into a parking lot, where the fire was extinguished. The driver and aide exited safely and were not injured. A spare bus will run the route tomorrow morning, so no bus routes will be affected.
